Edge Melt Systems is a division of GSB Companies LLC. The company was founded in 1996 providing quality products and service to the residential and commercial market. Over the years our fabrication capabilities have grown and our expertise has been refined. The products we offer are of the highest quality and tightest tolerances available. We offer IceBlaster Ice Dam Prevention Products, VersaScreen  Gutter Guard Gutter Protection Products, ECO Digital Controllers, and fabricated sheet metal products.

Founded in 1996, Edge Melt Systems provides quality ice dam prevention systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications. We offer everything needed to prevent ice buildup on roofs and in gutters this winter including ice dam prevention and gutter protection products from IceBlaster, VersaScreen, and more. Over the years, we have perfected our roof ice dam prevention systems to bring our customers the best products with exceptional service. Most of our roof ice melt systems are manufactured in-house and feature fully-customizable state-of-the-art machinery to meet your specific job site requirements. Since we manufacture a majority of what we sell, even our custom orders are shipped quickly for your convenience.

Gregory Bublitz - Owner, Founder, Hands on Driving Force.

Mr. Bublitz has been intimately involved in the business from the beginning. Known as a consummate problem solver, Gregory puts his years of experience to work in the development and refinement of the company's products as well as assisting in the improvement of products offered by other companies. Even the competition has benefited from the direct involvement of Mr. Bublitz to improve product performance.

As an inventor, Gregory Bublitz, sought to develop a gutter screening product that met diverse criteria. These criteria were refined through his 20 year experience as an exterior remodeling, roofing and architectural sheet metal contractor. Every gutter screen product he came across on a home or business was observed and evaluated. Some worked well, some failed miserably. But all had some drawbacks or limitations including unreasonably high installation costs resulting from market/franchise monopolies. So, Mr. Bublitz endeavored to develop a product that incorporated what worked well with other products and improved upon their weaknesses. The result was VersaScreen - a versatile, durable, effective, four season gutter protection that was affordable and easy to install. The "four season" or Heated Gutter System aspect of the VersaScreen Gutter Protection, was granted a patent in 2015. We have since added a micro mesh gutter protection system - ONE Gutter Guard - to our comprehensive system. The ONE Gutter Guard heated product benefits greatly from the knowledge we have gained from our patented heated gutter guard technology.

Since 2009, Mr. Bublitz has directed his focus on ice dam prevention - a major problem faced by many home and business owners. Tired of the mixed results he was experiencing with the zig zag heat cables that his company had been installing since 1996, Mr. Bublitz did an exhaustive search for an alternative. He came across several products from the western part of the United States designed to handle mountain type snow falls. After installing these heat panel products for several years, it was determined that a comprehensive system that included gutter protection and a variety of ice dam prevention products was needed versus the one size fits all approach of prior systems. Thus the IceBlaster by Edge Melt Systems was born. This innovative and well designed system has been installed all over the country to the delight of home and business owners. From the Maine to Washington State and from sea level to mountain elevations, our ice dam prevention products are effectively combating ice dams and icicle problems.

Gregory Bublitz has provided consultation to contractors throughout the country on roof and gutter ice dam related issues. He is also a contributor to newspaper and other articles on the causes and cures for ice dams. Through his installation company, hundreds of ice dam prevention systems have been installed using hundreds of thousands of feet of commercial grade, self-regulating heat cable. His thorough research and testing has proved invaluable in the development and refinement of the IceBlaster Ice Dam Prevention System for roof and gutter ice dam prevention. Our ice dam prevention products are not just drawn up on paper, tested briefly under ideal circumstances and shipped out to the public. We know what works through experience and a commitment to constant improvement. Unlike other companies, we don't rest on our laurels. Our products work well because we have always subscribed to the adage "If it ain't broke - IMPROVE IT".

Justin Schultz - Customer Relations Manager

Justin joined the company in 2018 to help with our expanding customer base. Justin comes from the construction industry having been involved in both new and existing construction. He works directly with contractors and homeowners alike. 

As our customer base expanded, we saw the need to be able to still provide excellent, timely service. Justin's organizational skills and friendly personality will allow us to continue to meet current and future demands.
