Channel Melt Panel - a versatile tool in the ice dam prevention system arsenal!

Upper dormers and upper roof lines that drain onto lower roof sections as well as downspouts that drain onto the roof pose unique problems. What can be done to prevent that melt water from refreezing in unintended spots. In the past, the solution was to route a heated valley/utility panel in that area. That kept a melt path open but did little to control where that water actually flowed.
