Single Cable Eave Panel Ice Dam Prevention System installation tutorial

Our updated profile of the EP-SC means an even easier installation along with improved efficiency. The roof edge ice melt system operates on one run of heat cable in the panel and one in the gutter (if there is one). The EP-SC features an .040 aluminum heat transfer panel with Kynar 500 finish. 

The panel is installed by loosening up the shingles at seal between the first and second course. The EP-SC is slid in between while the heat cable is pressed into the heat cable channel. The panel is then pressed all the way until the heat cable/cable channel is tight against the roof edge. The neoprene gasket, color matched screws are driven through the depressed area on the panel. The heat cable is routed through any gutter bottom and downspout, and connected to the electrical system. The following video shows simple step by step instruction.
