Inside corners and valleys need extra care. Often snow can drift and cornice over the gutter edge making it more difficult to care for these areas. The result can be a system that is more easily overwhelmed, especially in heavy snow load areas. At the inside corner/valley area, extra heat cable can be routed in the gutter itself to provide more heat in the critical area.
Starting about 3-4 feet from one side of the valley, loop the heat cable in the gutter bottom so that it is doubled up. Continue this to the other side going past the valley 3-4 feet. If desired, this heat cable loop can be routed above the hangers toward the front. The cable is zip tied the hangers to hold them in place. Continue routing the cable through the remainder of the gutter and downspout to complete the project.
